Fragrance should invite, never announce.
Folium approaches fragrance through the language of perfumery: structured compositions designed to develop gradually on the skin and beard.
Each scented formula is composed in-house using carefully selected cosmetic-grade aromatic materials, with attention to structure, development, and how the scent changes from application to drydown. Each composition is formulated within applicable IFRA guidelines.
Rather than selecting a finished stock fragrance, we build each scent from the ground up. For us, fragrance isn’t an afterthought, it’s part of the experience.
The Compositions
Noir
Cold / grey / atmospheric
Saffron, black tea, frankincense, vetiver, suede, oakmoss, ambergris, cold woods.
A cold composition built to sit close, unfold slowly, and leave an impression without becoming loud.
Lumen
Soft / breathable / essential
No added fragrance.
Reduced to its essentials so the focus stays on texture, softness, and comfort.
The Poet
Fervent / Resinous / Somber
A nocturne of oud and myrrh, sharpened by black spruce and patchouli. A bitter red-tea accord and oakwood hold the composition taut, while a fleeting dark-fruit impression moves beneath the resins. Benzoin softens the edges as it settles into dark woods. Dense, fervent, and somber, The Poet smoulders close to the skin, leaving resin, woods, and a bitter trace of red tea behind.
